General Election Information
PUBLIC NOTICE TO RICHMOND RESIDENTS
GENERAL ELECTION VOTER INFORMATION
The General Election will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Those wishing to vote in the General Election must register before October 4, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. Voter registrations will be accepted at the Richmond Town Hall, located at 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, until Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. Voter registration is also available online at vote.sos.ri.gov.
MAIL BALLOT VOTING
Applications for mail ballots must be received by October 13, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.
EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING
Early voting will take place from October 14, 2026, to November 2, 2026, at the Richmond Town Hall located at 5 Richmond Townhouse Road. During early voting the polls will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. and Tuesdays from 8:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. The polls will be closed on Fridays as the Town Hall is closed. The early voting period ends November 2, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.
ELECTION DAY VOTING
Electors will cast their ballots at their assigned polling location in Richmond as follows:
All Electors in Richmond Voting District 2901 will cast their ballot at the
RICHMOND TOWN HALL located at 5 Richmond Townhouse Road.
All Electors in Richmond Voting District 2902 will cast their ballot at the
RICHMOND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL located at 190 Kingstown Road.
All Electors in Richmond Voting District 2903 will cast their ballot at the
CHARIHO HIGH SCHOOL located at 453 Switch Road.
The polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. in said District.
NOTICE OF VOTER CANVASS
The Board of Canvassers of the Town of Richmond will be in session on October 13, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. for the purpose of canvassing and correcting the voter list of Richmond for the General Election.
